The ministry has taken practical measures for replacing the sleepers of major railways of the country and pushed forward with introducing new concrete sleeper production methods to save steel materials while raising solidity.

It has intensified guidance on a huge project of repairing a railway bridge under the charge of the Pyongyang Railway Bureau, whereby a girder was completely replaced and others fully reinforced in a short time.

Besides, the repair teams under railway bureaus and their branches have fulfilled their railway structure repair plans for the first quarter of this year.

To register more achievements, the ministry pushes ahead with the work for ensuring security of railways according to detailed plans and stepwise goals.
