National Art Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- A national art exhibition was opened in celebration of the 90th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA).

In the centre of the exhibition hall is an art work depicting President Kim Il Sung declaring the birth of the KPRA.

On display at the hall are art pieces showing the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who founded the Juche-type revolutionary armed forces and provided a powerful military guarantee for the eternal prosperity of the country and the nation with their outstanding ideas and leadership.

And there are art pieces showing the development of the DPRK's armed forces, which have demonstrated the might as a matchless army possessed of the most powerful strength under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who adds glory to the army building exploits of the President and the Chairman.

Also displayed are art pieces vividly depicting the heroic struggle of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the headquarters of the revolution in the snowstorm of Mt Paektu, and the Fatherland Liberation War veterans, who created a history of great victory of the country.

Its opening ceremony took place at the Korean Art Gallery on Friday.

Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, made an opening address.

He expressed the conviction that the exhibition Swill serve as an occasion for injecting unbounded confidence and vigor to the ranks of general onward march for implementing the decisions of the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee, closely rallied as one in mind around Kim Jong Un.
