Attending the meeting were Fumihiro Himori, chairman of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, members of the Japanese organizations for the study of the Juche idea and the Japan-Korea friendship organizations including the Japan-Korea Society for Scientific and Educational Interchange, the Japanese Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Hokkaido People's Council for Japan-Korea Solidarity, the Gunma Prefectural People's Council for Japan-Korea Friendship and Solidarity, the Kanagawa Prefectural People's Society for Promoting the Normalization of Japan-DPRK Diplomatic Relations, the Saitama Prefectural People's Council for Japan-Korea Friendship and Solidarity, the Japan-DPRK Friendship Women Network, the Fact-Finding Group for the Probe into the Truth about the Forcible Drafting of Koreans, the Tokyo Ward Assemblymen's Liaison Society for the Promotion of Japan-Korea Friendship and the Tokyo-Pyongyang Rainbow Bridge, personages of media, officials of the General Association of the Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in the Kanto area.

Present there on invitation were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, and So Chung On, director of its Department for International Affairs and Reunification.

Fumihiro Himori and Nam Sung U made speeches at the meeting.

Nam Sung U said that the revolutionary career and exploits of President Kim Il Sung would be immortal, adding that the noble intention of the peerlessly great man who devoted his all to the people, regarding it as his motto and political creed to believe in the people as in Heaven is being successfully embodied in the people-first politics of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

A solidarity address sent by the Korean Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries was introduced and a video dealing with the feats Kim Il Sung performed in his external activities was screened.

A professor of Korean University under Chongryon gave a lecture under the title of "Independent line of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and its succession and the internal and external policies of the DPRK, a strategic state".

A performance was given by artistes of the Kumgang-san Opera Troupe.

Meanwhile, Japan-DPRK friendship meetings were held in Hokkaido and Fukuoka to celebrate the 110th birth anniversary of the President.
