This pleasure park, a popular resort, is associated with the loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has always worked heart and soul to provide the people with better cultural living conditions and environment.

On April 30, Juche 101 (2012), he inspected the Rungna People's Pleasure Park being built on a bank of the Taedong River.

Going round the dolphinarium and then the water park under construction, he advised that such facilities as diving tower, tank and beach volleyball court be arranged at the water park as people would play volleyball and basketball in swimsuit, not sportswear, there.

Before leaving the construction site, he said that the word "people" should be put in the name of the pleasure park, adding that the development of the Rungna People's Pleasure Park is a noble work to carry into practice the desire of Chairman Kim Jong Il who had devoted himself to providing the people with a happy and highly-civilized life.

The Rungna People's Pleasure Park was inaugurated in July that year, thanks to his warm love for the people.
