Present there were personages from the State Duma, the Foreign Ministry, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia and the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK. Invited to it were the DPRK ambassador to Russia and members of his embassy.

A report, congratulatory address and speeches were made at the seminar.

The vice-chairperson of the Central Council of the Communist Parties-the Communist Party of the Soviet Union who is a member of the C.C., Communist Party of the Russian Federation said in the report that during his visit to Russia in April 2019, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed his willingness to usher in a new golden age of the DPRK-Russia relations at the meeting with President Putin.

His Russia visit left a glorious chapter in the history of the two countries and placed another footstone for the bridge of decades-long friendship, the reporter added.

He praised Kim Jong Un for successfully carrying forward the external policy of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Saying that the atmosphere of opposing sanctions against independent countries is growing stronger with each passing day, thanks to the DPRK's efforts and struggle for world peace, the reporter stressed that Russia and the DPRK can defend their vital and long-term interests only when they jointly fight against the hegemonic policy of the West.

Hoping that the DPRK would prosper as a great country, the reporter said that the development of the Russia-DPRK friendly relations is a reliable guarantee for stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

A statement was published at the seminar.

It noted that the participants in the seminar emphasized the great significance of Kim Jong Un's visit to Russia in the development of the traditional friendly relations between the two countries.
