The Lao newspaper Pasason recalled in an article titled "Meaningful Meeting between Leaders of DPRK and Laos" that the President and the Chairman met Kaysone Phomvihane in April 1992.

The article said that the Laos-DPRK friendship has steadily developed thanks to the will of the leaders of the two parties and two countries despite the lapse of time and the complicated international situations.

The Korean people sincerely congratulate the Lao party and people on their successes in the work for carrying out the decisions of the 11th Party Congress in the face of challenges and ordeals, the article pointed out.

Expressing the Lao people's will to dynamically step up socialist construction, a shared goal, together with the Korean people, the article stressed that the relations of friendship, unity and cooperation between Laos and the DPRK will be immortal.
