Choe Ryong Hae and Kim Tok Hun, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other leading officials of the Party and the government and officials of Party and power organs at all levels visited the State Academy of Sciences, the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, the Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm in Sadong District and other units to congratulate the working people on May Day.

At different units including industrial establishments and co-op farms, those senior officials placed bouquets at the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and mosaics depicting their images before making a bow to them.

They went round the rooms for education in the revolutionary history, the rooms dedicated to the history of relevant units, etc.

At the worksites, they congratulated labor innovators and other workers on May Day. And they, together with the working people, watched sports games, including volleyball and table tennis, and performances of itinerant art squads.

In the Hwasong area where the construction of 10, 000 flats is going on, senior party and government officials worked together with the builders, appealing to them to further glorify the period of great prosperity in the construction of the capital city.

They requested all the working people to live and work as true patriots performing fresh miracles and steady innovations in the van of the times, in hearty response to the decisions made at the 8th Party Congress and the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee.
