Youth Open-Air Theatre Built in Nampho City of DPRK

Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- The Nampho City Youth Open-Air Theatre has been newly built. The theatre, covering an area of over 8, 000 square meters, has a 5, 000-seat stand, club rooms, make-up-rooms, sci-tech learning spaces, etc. It will contribute to the extracurricular education of schoolchildren and the leisure activities of working people. It is peculiarly decorated with lights, and good species of trees, flower shrubs and herbs are planted and rest areas arranged in its vicinity. On May 1, Ri Jae Nam, chief secretary of the Nampho City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Song Sung Chol, chairman of the Nampho City People's Committee, and other officials and working people in the city looked round the theatre, which was inaugurated on the occasion of May Day, the international holiday of the working people across the world. |
