Officials of the Ministry of Coal Industry and other relevant units gave precedence to prospecting and tunneling to secure more coal pits and scientifically organized and guided the work for enhancing the transport capacity.

The Pukchang Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex held a show on introduction of effective blasting methods, widely popularized the technical and innovative achievements of advanced units and enhanced the skill of the tunneling workers, thus securing more coal deposits.

The Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex raised its tunneling speed 1.6 times higher than before by introducing and further developing the advanced blasting methods.

The Sunchon Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex and the Kujang Area Coal-Mining Complex, too, have increased their coal production every day by actively organizing socialist emulations between mines, pits and shifts and launching various mass movements like the one of helping the next shift.
