Electric Power Production Increased to Protect Damage from Drought Damage
Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in the field of electric power industry have directed all their efforts to supplying electricity needed for protecting crops from drought damage.

The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant have increased the production of electricity by giving precedence to the management of equipment and technical control after taking measures for increasing the output of each generator.

Working people in the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant and the Sunchon Thermal Power Plant have increased the combustion efficiency of boilers and the output of the generators while operating and managing generating equipment as required by the technical rules and standard regulations.

The Suphung Power Station has managed and repaired hydraulic structures in a responsible manner and rationally adjusted the load dispatch according to the volume of water and technical specifications of generators so as to steadily increase the production of electricity.

The Hochongang Power Station and the Jangjingang Power Station have efficiently repaired and maintained the hydraulic structures and generating equipment in good order to operate generators in full capacity.

Working people in the Pujongang Power Station and the Kanggye Youth Power Station have produced enough electricity for farms by checking generators on a regular basis to increase their output.
