Active Medical Checkup and Treatment Launched in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- Officials, teachers and students in the public health and epidemic prevention field of the DPRK are continuing their scientific and concentrated medical check-up, treatment and hygienic information service to soon stop the spread of malignant epidemic in their regions and units.

According to data available, one million and hundreds of thousands of persons throughout the country, including doctors in charge of households, medical workers of hospitals at all levels, teachers and students of medical colleges, and workers in charge of hygiene at their units, have been involved in the anti-epidemic campaign to thoroughly block and eradicate the source of the malignant epidemic.

A large number of doctors in charge of households and medical workers of national, provincial, city and county-level hospitals are carrying out medical check-up for the residents under their care in a responsible manner. They keep close watch on those with fever and use scientific treatment methods.

Others retired from the public health sector, too, have voluntarily taken part in hygienic information service and medical check-up since the maximum emergency epidemic prevention system was set in motion.

Not only the officials in the epidemic prevention sector and workers in charge of hygiene at their units but also the teachers and students of medical colleges across the country are waging a devoted struggle against the epidemic.
