The sericulture officials in the province?provide on-site technical guidance on the work to introduce advanced methods into rearing silkworms.

The province has expanded the area of mulberry fields to hundreds of hectares and propelled the work for planting good species of mulberry on an extensive scale, while laying foundations for increasing the production of mulberry leaves by carpeting fields with scores of tons of compost per hectare.

It built and renovated over 890 blocks of cocooneries for young silkworms and more than 13 900 blocks of cocooneries for fully grown silkworms so as to provide conditions for putting silk culture on a scientific and intensive basis. It also ensured the production and supply of disinfectants for breeding silkworms.

This results in increased mulberry leaves production and improved silkworm breeding at different farms of the province.
