| Successes Made in Coal Industrial Sector of DPRK

| Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- The coal industrial sector of the DPRK launched a dynamic struggle for increased production to implement the decisions of the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Officials of the Ministry of Coal Industry and relevant units analyzed and reviewed the successes and deviations in implementing the plan for the first half of the year before taking necessary measures for increased coal production for the second half of the year. Production plans have been over-fulfilled within the Ministry of Coal Industry after the plenary meeting. The Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex has turned out much more coal than planned every day. Miners of the Anju Area Coal-Mining Complex registered tunneling results of 170 percent in a week. Similar successes are witnessed at other coal mining complexes. |
