Sci-Tech Successes Guarantee Execution of State Anti-Epidemic Policies in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, successes are witnessed in the work for finally defusing the epidemic-brought crisis and ensuring the validity, efficiency and scientific accuracy in the execution of the state anti-epidemic policies by enhancing the sci-tech strength of the anti-epidemic sector.

The central emergency anti-epidemic sector is intensifying the work to further increase and steadily maintain the nationwide mass immunity level.

By minutely analyzing the clinical symptoms, reaction to medication and severity rates of fever cases, relevant experts, including those specializing in the viral and the respiratory diseases, are closely observing the possibility of the outbreak of a new virus variant by keeping the base sequence analysis equipment at full-capacity operation.

Practical measures are being taken to shorten the test time and increase its accuracy by establishing a dense national network for nucleic acid test.

Amid the accelerated work for developing and introducing scientific and advanced disinfection technologies and methods, a new technology for producing effective disinfectants without using salt has been developed.

Measures are being taken to establish a production line for ultraviolet disinfectors and increase their production by ensuring the supply of raw and other materials.

The Academy of Medical Science developed various antibody inspection methods and directs its efforts to adopting a technology for enhancing specificity and sensitivity of test paper.

Relevant units, including the Ministry of Public Health, the Education Commission and the Ministry of IT Industry, put the anti-epidemic medical service such as registration of fever cases, public healthcare for all inhabitants and medicine supply and sale on a higher IT basis.

A research team of Kim Il Sung University developed a nationwide fever case survey and management program to resolve the technical issues arising in scientifically analyzing and assessing the situation of the epidemic spread and further perfecting the inspection information management system for COVID-19.

Major pharmaceutical factories and Koryo medicine producers are modernizing their production processes and pushing ahead with the work for expanding their production capacities.

Scientists and technicians in research, designing and production units, including the Medical Appliance Industrial Management Bureau, Kim Chaek University of Technology and the State Academy of Sciences, pool their efforts to further improve the quality of ventilator and defibrillator and resolve the sci-tech problems arising in realizing their serial production.
