Scientific Accuracy and Technical Progress of Medical Service Promoted in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Today's emergency anti-epidemic campaign in the DPRK serves as a key opportunity to accurately examine all important factors of overall medical service, and more scientifically and progressively develop health service. The emergency anti-epidemic sector and the public health sector are focusing on research and practice to turn medical service processes and opportunities into a course of enhancing treatment efficiency by optimizing them. Treatment methods for various symptoms and constitutional characteristics are established and standardized, and the work for constantly updating the treatment guide is intensified along with the research into the duration of aftereffects, remedies and rules of health. Central hospitals enhance the roles of their rapid collective diagnosis teams to take immediate, specialized treatment measures against any abnormal symptoms suspected to be the malignant pandemic disease. Rapid diagnosis and treatment teams organized with medical workers of people's hospitals of each province, city and county carry out their work successfully. Accurate diagnosis and treatment plans for different diseases including COVID-19 are established and detailed drug-using methods are issued. In addition, medical workers of the preventive and curative organs at all levels are informed of medical science and technology regularly. In touch with the public health officials of the relevant areas, medical teams of central hospitals dispatched to areas of South Hwanghae Province, where the acute enteric epidemic broke out, take measures to thoroughly block all infection routes. They also adopt treatment methods to increase the safety and efficiency of medical dosage in treatment of patients. As stepwise plans are mapped out to decisively raise the modernization level of pharmaceutical, medical appliance and medical supply production sectors, efforts are directed to carrying them out and practical measures taken to quickly cope with any public health crisis. |
