Mass Campaign to Prevent Natural Disaster Underway in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Now that heavy rainfall, accompanied by downpour, lashes the whole of the DPRK, North and South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces and other areas in the eastern part of the country launched a dynamic mass campaign to minimize the damage by flood and typhoon.

The above-said areas have enhanced the role of emergency disaster teams at all levels to keep all the industrial establishments, farms, schools, etc. free from damage by downpour, rainstorm, thunder and hailstorm.

The areas vulnerable to damage from landslide, valley stream and tidal wave are taking proper measures to protect their farmland, houses and public establishments from the damage.
