Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- The national heritage conservation sector of the DPRK takes thorough measures to keep precious cultural properties from damage by downpour and rainstorm. Officials and working people across the country have turned out in the work for protecting historical relics from flood damage with ardent patriotism. Those in Pyongyang City took steps to prevent such cultural assets as the Mausoleum of King Tangun, Mausoleum of King Tongmyong, Ryongwang Pavilion and Taedong Gate from moisture, striving to minimize the damage by flood and rainstorm. Those in North Phyongan Province did roof-repair and installation of lightning-conductors for fear that historical buildings and natural monuments would be damaged. Other provinces and cities are on the alert to cope with any emergency while repairing historical buildings and digging drainage canals. |
