The statement said that June 25, 1950 was recorded in history as a day of blood that inflicted ever-lasting and incurable injury on the hearts of the Korean people.

Recalling that the U.S. imperialists ignited the Korean War in a sinister bid to realize its wild ambition for dominating the world with the Korean peninsula as a springboard, the statement said indiscriminate bombardment by the imperialist aggressors destroyed everything and killed countless people in the DPRK.

It said that the U.S. imperialists' cruelest genocide and barbarous destruction, unprecedented in the world history of wars, still fuel the Korean people's anger as they can never be forgotten despite the lapse of time.

Under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung, the ever-victorious iron-willed commander, the Korean people inflicted shameful defeat on the U.S. imperialists and won a signal victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, the statement stressed.

Far from drawing a due lesson from this, the U.S. has made vicious moves to provoke war through decades, persisting in its ambition to invade the DPRK, it pointed out, adding:
