Flood Damage Prevention Measures Taken in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Korean People's Army units involved in the housing construction project in the Komdok area of the DPRK are taking well-thought-out measures to prevent damage to buildings, resources and equipment by natural disasters such as heavy rain and gale.

The construction command is pushing ahead with the work to find all unsafe factors and take measures for security.

While preparing things needed in preventing damage to buildings under construction and material storehouses, the construction units simultaneously dig canals and build embankments, retaining walls and network of rain-water at low-lying construction areas.

Construction units at all levels established a well-organized monitoring system and are taking measures to prevent any slight damage.

In particular, manpower and machines were mobilized to minimize damage at unsafe areas near the construction site and lodging area.
