Romanian and Swedish Figures Support Korean People
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Romanian and Swedish personages posted a statement and an article on websites on July 1 and 3 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party of Romania and chairman of the Romanian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, said in a statement that the U.S. provoked a war of aggression against the young DPRK by mobilizing a colossal amount of armed forces in June 1950.

Nonetheless, it could not subdue the outstanding military strategy and tactics of President Kim Il Sung and the indomitable Korean people rallied firmly around the leader, said the statement.

Even though nearly 70 years have lapsed since the war ended, durable peace has not yet settled on the Korean peninsula, the statement stressed.

Owing to the reckless military moves of the U.S. and its followers, a hair-trigger situation in which a war may break out anytime persists on the peninsula, the statement pointed out. It went on:

We strongly condemn the U.S. and south Korean authorities for their military actions of aggression and urge the U.S. to immediately withdraw all its forces of aggression from south Korea.

Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, said in an article that since the armistice agreement was signed, the DPRK has demanded it is replaced by a peace accord, but the U.S. brushed off its initiative, persisting in its policy hostile toward the DPRK.

The DPRK consistently pushes ahead with beefing up its self-defensive capacity capable of annihilating any formidable enemy in every way, said the article.

Swedish friends of Korea extend full support and solidarity to the anti-imperialist and anti-U.S. struggle by the Korean people, it added.
