Anti-epidemic Measures Strictly Observed in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Chaek City in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK is focusing on thoroughly ensuring the public anti-epidemic atmosphere and voluntary unity.

While drawing up a work system and action plan in case of emergency and properly allocating tasks to units, the city has put steady effort into executing the matters of epidemic prevention such as medical checkups and disinfection with high security.

By explaining and giving anti-epidemic and hygiene information together with the validity and scientific accuracy of the state anti-epidemic guidelines through broadcasting posts positioned at major parts of the city, it is enhancing the voluntary unity, mobility and activeness of its residents and working people.

The City Hygienic and Anti-epidemic Centre oversees control to make sure sewage and trash are managed in compliance to the demands of anti-epidemic regulations and takes steps to make sure that only boiled water is consumed at families, nursing and upbringing institutions, public catering establishments and construction sites.

Officials of the public health sector are regularizing the disinfection in treatment rooms and wards and are spreading hygiene information and carrying out medical checkups in a responsible manner at the units in charge.

Due to its geographical characteristics of being a coastal city, it is strengthening coastal inspection and establishing a strict reporting and notification system for strange objects coming from the sea and the emigration of migratory birds.
