Officials and working people across the country sent large amount of scrap iron to the metallurgical bases in the first half of the year.

Kaesong City conducted a mass movement of collecting scrap iron and thus carried out its plan for the first half of the year by 109 percent.

Pyongyang City sent much more scrap iron than the planned to the Kangson Steel Complex.

The same is true of North Hwanghae Province, Jagang Province, South Hwanghae Province and Nampho City.
