Present at the events were families of persons related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and the DPRK ambassador to China and his embassy members.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

Then they looked round photos of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and watched a video dealing with the history of the DPRK-China friendship.

Speeches were made at the events.

Zhang Jinlu, daughter of Zhang Wei-hua, said: 28 years have passed since the demise of the President but his image is still kept in our minds and he is always alive in our hearts.

Yu Ming, son of Li Zade, praised the whole life of the President, who devoted himself to the country and people, as a precious life shining like the sun.

The son of Feng Zhongyun said that it is a glorious mission of his generation to creditably carry forward generation after generation the traditional China-DPRK friendship provided by the elder generations.

The son of mentor Shang Yue expressed his will to strive to further consolidate the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries through generations, true to the behest of President Kim Il Sung.
