Anti-epidemic Capability against Climate Change Reinforced and Emergency Action Plan Materialized in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- With heavy rain and gale blowing across the DPRK in recent days due to the seasonal rainy front, well thought-out anti-epidemic counter-measures are taken timely to cope with them.

The state emergency epidemic prevention headquarters and relevant sectors accurately detect all forms of crises that can take place due to disastrous abnormal weather immediately after receiving warning alerts and promptly prepare and issue orders and assignments to cope with them voluntarily and carefully.

Every sector and unit is actively carrying out work to find all hazardous factors in the anti-epidemic environment and deal with them.

More anti-epidemic stations are installed at relevant areas and measures to increase the number of anti-epidemic workers, medicines and medical facilities are taken.

Emergency anti-epidemic units at all levels continuously reconfirm the mobile readiness of personnel and equipment involved in rapid mobile anti-epidemic teams and rapid diagnosis and treatment teams while taking well-timed measures.

The public health sector promptly sets up treatment centers in provinces, cities and counties specialized in the treatment of epidemic diseases in addition to taking emergency supply measures based on thoroughly calculating the needed amount of medicines, medical appliances and supplies.

Medics of the Korean People's Army maintain promptness and accuracy in supplying medicines to residents of the capital city and contribute to ensuring maximum safety of the anti-epidemic environment while sharing good experience and successes.

Taking prospective measures to carefully reconfirm and stockpile the type and amount of medicines needed in medicine supply according to the date and location, they wage health education to prevent an enteric epidemic and various types of intoxication beforehand.
