Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- Now that heavy rainfall hits the most areas of the country, all its economic sectors and units wage a dynamic production drive while firmly maintaining the counter-crisis attitude. Major units in the chemical industrial sector, including the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, take thoroughgoing measures for the structures vulnerable to heavy rain, putting a spur to the production of chemical products. The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, the Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant and other thermal power plants across the country get rid of risky factors in case of a crisis, stepping up the increased electricity production. Hydro-power stations confirm the safety of hydraulic structures including dams and holes for intermediate intake, and direct efforts to the normal operation of equipment to open and close water gates any time. The Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex, the Kaechon Area Coal-Mining Complex and other units in the coal industrial sector focus efforts on readjusting and reinforcing the drainage system of pits and increasing the delivery capability, while ensuring the steady production. The railway transport sector takes steps to prevent accidents in the rainy season and to transport materials to various sectors of the national economy in a responsible way. Such major construction sites as the construction sites of 10, 000 flats in the Hwasong area and the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm take measures beforehand to preserve construction materials and equipment well and step up the construction. |
