Advanced and Scientific Anti-epidemic Capacity Promoted in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- The work for perfecting the state anti-epidemic and counter-crisis capacity is intensified in the DPRK as the good circumstance of the anti-epidemic campaign is improved to finally defuse the epidemic crisis and completely restore the anti-epidemic stability. In liaison with scientific research units, the state emergency epidemic prevention headquarters take practical measures beforehand for a scientific test method and system for COVID-19 variants and other pandemic diseases and for treating them. It focuses efforts on positively operating the multiple test system and increasing the accuracy of test method across the country. It conducts the work to improve the test system of all pathogens spreading enteric epidemic and to check the spread route and space of the epidemic. Researchers and specialists in the fields of epidemic prevention, public health and science and education draw up a guide for collecting and delivering the sample of monkeypox virus and a guide for treating the virus, and technically perfect the checking method. Central-level hospitals ceaselessly rectify and supplement the scientific treatment methods and conduct the work for generalizing Korean-style reasonable medical dosage. Emergency anti-epidemic units at all levels work out plans and take measures to cope with any epidemic disease in the areas of low mass immunity level. The Cabinet and the Ministry of Public Health push ahead with the work for building the epidemic treatment center in provinces, cities and counties as required by the standard of the country, reinforcing the ranks of medical workers and fully supplying medicines. Scientists, technologists and experts in relevant units push ahead with the development of various sorts of medical appliances. Medical education institutions round off the system of training experts in the anti-epidemic field and more than 1 000 hygienic and anti-epidemic workers receive the in-service training through the tele-educational network of the Pyongyang University of Medicine. |
