Young People Meet with War Veterans
Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- Young people in North Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces of the DPRK met with war veterans to mark the day of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953).

Youth and students of the provinces, together with the war veterans, visited the cemeteries of fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and memorial towers for the KPA fallen soldiers to pay deep respects to the victors of great years.

At the meetings, the war veterans recalled with pride that they resolutely smashed the invasion by the imperialist allied forces and created a myth of great victory in the war under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung.

Listening to the impressive stories about combat feats of KPA fighters who defended the motherland at the cost of their blood, the youth and students keenly realized that the victory in the war is the brilliant fruition of the original military idea, adroit strategy and tactics and outstanding commanding art of the President, the peerlessly illustrious commander.

At the meetings, the youth and students expressed their resolutions to fulfill the mission and duty of the young vanguard in the struggle for hastening a new victory of the revolution, as demanded by the war veterans, holding more firmly the flag of the Republic permeated with blood of the forerunners.

Students of Hero Jong San Technical Senior Middle School in Chongam District of Chongjin City planted trees around the cemetery of fallen fighters of the KPA with war veterans.
