In Kangwon Province, the construction of the Sepho Army-People Power Station is nearing completion and the construction of the Phyonggang Army-People Power Station is dynamically propelled.

Jagang Province is stepping up the construction of the Hungju Youth Power Station No. 5 with a large capacity at the final stage. The structural construction including spillway dam, water intake and drainage was completed and the assembly of generating equipment is underway.

Usi County of the province has pushed forward with the construction of the Usi Power Station No. 3 on a full-scale. Other counties, too, strive to provide new generating capacity.

The same is true of other provinces.

It is the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea to increase the electric-power production at large-scale power stations and build many minor hydraulic power stations in different parts of the country on a mass scale.
