In South Phyongan Province, the Station for Stocking Lake Yonphung with Fishes established a gravity-fed water supply system and carried out collection of eggs and hatching to release young mandarin fishes and other food-fish into the lake.

Breed-fish farms in Sunchon City and Sukchon County stocked the rivers and reservoirs with young fishes while introducing efficient mixed feed production methods.

Fish farming and spawning stations in South Hwanghae Province released large amounts of fry into rivers, lakes, reservoirs and the sea.

The same is true of the fish farming units in North Hwanghae and Jagang provinces and Nampho City.
