Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering has pushed ahead with this work. It is combining the departments and research offices according to field of special study and turning them into sectional institutes in which education and scientific research are integrated.

The university introduced the CDIO engineering education method into the educational practice to raise the creativity of students.

Kim Chaek University of Technology launched the work to expand the high-tech products manufacturing bases conducive to the integration of education, scientific research and production.

It is also carrying on the work to make faculties and research institutes hasten the development and production of high-tech goods in accordance with their characters.
