| Production of Consumer Goods Increased in DPRK

| Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- Factories in Ryanggang Province of the DPRK are putting spurs to the production of consumer goods, true to the decisions made at the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). The Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory and the Samjiyon Blueberry Drink Factory have produced new kinds of tasty and nutrient foodstuffs with hygienic safety. The Taehongdan Potato-processing Factory introduced a new method of seasoning dehydrated starch noodle and established a production process of fermentation vinegar. The Samjiyon Soybean Paste and Sauce Factory and the Hyesan Condiments Factory launched the work to activate the production of condiments, expand the variety of foodstuff and improve their quality. The Hyesan Chemical Factory has increased the production twice as against last year by completing the soap production process. Similar successes are witnessed in Kim Hyong Gwon, Paekam, Kim Jong Suk and Kapsan counties. |
