Support to Korean People Expressed in South Africa
Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The 15th Congress of the South African Communist Party took place on July 13-17.

Invited to it were the ambassadors of the DPRK, China, Cuba and other socialist countries to South Africa and party delegations of various countries.

The DPRK ambassador conveyed a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) to the congress.

The general secretary of the South African Communist Party in his report and speech stressed the importance to attach significance to the attendance of the ambassadors of socialist countries to the congress and learn from the socialist countries' building experience in coherence with the Party's ideal and target.

Saying that the South African Communist Party gives importance to the friendly relations with the WPK, he expressed the stand to expand and develop this relationship in the future.

He said that the DPRK, which defended the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation in the three-year war provoked by the U.S in the 1950s, is a socialist state and a revolutionary country guarding the outpost of the anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle.

Noting that he visited the DPRK in the past and was deeply impressed by its striking development, he ardently called on the members of the Party leadership to learn from the DPRK's experience in party and state building and apply it in the practice of South Africa.

Meanwhile, the South African Communist Party, in its congress decisions, expressed firm support and solidarity with the WPK and the Korean people in the struggle to protect the sovereignty of the country from the constant military threats by the U.S. and its vassal forces and their reckless arms buildup and ensure peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula.

And it strongly denounced the U.S. and other Western countries for their anti-DPRK sanctions and isolation moves and demanded the immediate lift of the most barbarous sanctions.
