After setting tasks on pushing ahead with the preparations for post-war reconstruction together with the wartime production at the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea in December, Juche 39 (1950), the President gave detailed instructions to the officials accompanied to turn Pyongyang into the world city for the working people after conducting rehabilitation while going round the city that was destroyed due to the indiscriminate bombardment in January, 1951.

A conference of scientists was held in April, 1952 and the then Academy of Sciences was founded in December that year, to open the prospect for developing the country's science in the flames of the war.

The President made sure that the survey for exploiting and using the country's natural resources is vigorously made and a mine designing institute was founded in July, 1952. He also issued an order of the military commission to reconstruct and newly build brick factories, and took every necessary measure.

An order of the Supreme Commander to organize the Sports Team of the Korean People's Army was issued in December, 1951 and a historic meeting took place at the meeting room of the Supreme Headquarters to organize the Sports Team of the KPA. There produced a legendary tale unprecedented in the history of world war in which soldiers in the front were called to the sports training grounds.

The National Acrobatic Troupe was founded in June, 1952 to start a new history of national acrobatics.

Thanks to the firm faith and bold pluck of the President who organized a military parade for celebrating the victory in the war in July, 1951, a military parade of heroic Korea was held with splendor 10-odd days after the war was over.

Under the wise leadership of the President, the Korean people performed world-startling miracles one after another in post-war reconstruction and socialist construction.
