Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Organizations of different countries issued statements to mark the 69th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. The Thailand-DPRK Friendship Association said in a statement that President Kim Il Sung put an end to the military occupation of the Japanese imperialists to liberate Korea and repelled the armed invasion of the U.S. imperialists, who boasted of being "the strongest" in the world, in the three-year war to reliably defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country. The Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange said that the world people loving justice and peace are still denouncing the U.S. imperialists' unethical massacre committed during the Korean War. It laid bare the fact that the U.S. is running amuck to provoke another war, not abandoning its ambition to occupy the entire Korean peninsula. It expressed full support and solidarity for the legitimate steps taken by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to bolster up its military capability for self-defence to cope with the hostile forces' escalating obstructive moves. Saying that the state of ceasefire still persists in the peninsula, the New Zealand-DPRK Society strongly urged the U.S. to opt for the way to replace the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace accord in keeping with the desire of the world peace-loving people. |
