Sojourn in Pyongyang of Participants of 8th Conference of War Veterans

Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The lecturers engaged in administration of revolutionary relics associated with the victorious war, who participated in the 8th National Conference of War Veterans on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the great war victory, have spent meaningful days in the capital city of Pyongyang. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un invited them to the grand festival of victors, had a photo session with them to be handed down through generations and bestowed favors on them to spend the meaningful days in Pyongyang. The lecturers visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, and made a deep bow before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. At the halls where the President and the Chairman lie in state, they made bow to them with the deepest reverence. They also visited the native home of the President at Mangyongdae, the holy land of our revolution. At the "Hall of the Great Leaders and Their Comrades-in-Arms" of the Korean Revolution Museum, the lecturers carefully saw photos and fine art pieces showing the noble comradeship of the peerlessly great men and the relics and exhibits telling the glorious history of the Korean revolution which was pioneered with comradeship and has emerged victorious by dint of it. While visiting the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and the Fatherland Liberation War historic site, they hardened their resolution to fulfill their responsibility and duty as powerful explainers and educators deeply implanting in the minds of the people the great exploits of the President who led the war to victory and the heroic fighting spirit displayed by the defenders of the country in the 1950s. They went round Songhwa Street and Kyongru-dong, spent a pleasant time at the Munsu Water Park and had such diverse political and cultural work as enjoying acrobatic performance and watching films. |
