Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering set a goal for developing a small combine harvester before concentrating efforts on it.

Scientists deepened a research to develop a new harvester capable of much reducing grain loss in harvesting while saving more fuel than others, as a result of which they found out a new principle boldly pulling themselves out of previous machine structure. They are accelerating the design of the new harvester at the final stage.

Kim Je Won Haeju University of Agriculture has finished in a short span of time a design of a machine which can perform wheat and barley sowing, manuring and cultivating. The university is now conducting a test operation of the machine and striving to further complete it in a short time in cooperation with officials, technicians and skilled workers of the Haeju City Farm Machine Station.
