Chairman Kim Jong Il's Birthplace Draws Many Visitors
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Jong Il Peak in the sacred land of the Juche revolution is shining as the greatest peak of Korea defending Chairman Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.

President Kim Il Sung visited the Paektusan Secret Camp opened on August 10, Juche 77 (1988), named the peak behind Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the camp "Jong Il Peak" in reflection of the unanimous aspiration and desire of all the people across the country, and made sure that the name was inscribed on it.

At least 7 million people have visited the secret camp for the past 34 years after naming the greatest peak "Jong Il Peak" which shines as the symbol of the dignity and glory of Korea along with the image of Kim Jong Il as heaven-sent great man.

This holy land has been visited by an endless stream of people from all walks of life, including service personnel, youth and students.

Meanwhile, delegations and home-visiting groups of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and other overseas compatriots from different parts of the world and many foreigners amounting to 100,000 visited the secret camp.
