WPK's Precious Treasure - "Reminiscences of Anti-Japanese Guerrillas"
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- "Reminiscences of Anti-Japanese Guerrillas", a favorite book of the DPRK people, is a priceless treasure of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the DPRK.

The book with 20 volumes deals with the impressive historical facts about the undying revolutionary feats performed by President Kim Il Sung in organizing and leading the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory, and about the noble fighting spirit of anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters.

Among the reminiscences are stories about a woman guerrilla who said that the victory of the revolution was in sight, although her eyes was gouged out by the enemy, about a guerrilla who stopped the embrasure of an enemy pillbox with his chest, about guerrillas who performed a miracle in the spirit of self-reliance by making bombs with empty hands, and about the 9-year old girl fighter, a member of the anti-Japanese Children's Corps. These stories implant the confidence in victory and indomitable spirit in the people of the DPRK.

The book is not a mere record of the historical facts in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, but serves as a precious revolutionary asset helping the revolutionaries have a deep understanding of the truth of struggle and the revolutionary principle and work devotedly for the Party and the leader, the country and the people.

The book has displayed its great vitality in the Korean people's socialist construction struggle since it was published in May Juche 48 (1959).

Today the DPRK people are stepping up the building of a powerful socialist country, with the noble revolutionary spirit and fighting traits created by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners as ideological and moral pabulum.

The book "Reminiscences of Anti-Japanese Guerrillas" was awarded People's Prize of the DPRK in 2012.
