Work for Preventing Flood Damage Brisk in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- Kaesong City of the DPRK has pushed ahead with the work to prevent the flood damage.

Officials in the city took timely measures for coping with the natural disasters.

The emergency disaster and crisis control teams strongly urge every unit and people to conduct the work for prevention of flood damage, counter-crisis and rehabilitation while thoroughly establishing a united commanding system and observing the epidemic prevention rules.

They also distributed the codes of conduct, issued by the State Emergency Disaster Committee, to all units and have conducted the work for publicizing the order of action and counter-crisis methods to be adopted in case of various disasters.

The city took preventive measures by constantly estimating, notifying and synthesizing the water level of rivers while reinforcing the observation posts and members in spots with dangerous elements.

Kaephung and Phanmun districts organized emergency rescue and medical teams and made full preparations for emergency.

Agricultural workers in the city turned out as one in the campaign to protect farmlands and reduce the damage to crops.
