| Women's Premier Soccer League Begins

| Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- Women's premier soccer league began at the May Day Stadium in Pyongyang to celebrate the birthday of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Taking part in the league are twelve football teams belonging to A class. There were matches between the Ponghwasan and Wolmido teams and between the Kalmaegi and April 25 teams on the first day of the league. The Ponghwasan team tied with the Wolmido team and the April 25 team beat its rival 5:0. The league continues until September 9. |
