At the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state, many officials, including those of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet, ministries and national institutions, and servicepersons, working people and schoolchildren recalled the undying revolutionary feats of the peerlessly great man who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation.

Working people, servicepersons and schoolchildren placed floral baskets, bouquets and flowers at the statues of the President and the Chairman on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang and in all other parts of the country. They also laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers at the mosaics picturing the smiling images of the President and the Chairman across the country.

On the occasion of this significant day, institutions and enterprises throughout the country hoisted the national flags.

Colorful celebration art performances were given in Pyongyang and local areas, and a men's soccer tournament for Torch Cup took place at the Kim Il Sung Stadium.

On the same day, dancing parties of youth and students and women's union members were held across the country.
