In its statement, the Swiss Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu said that the great Comrade Kim Il Sung, who achieved the cause of national liberation and built a true paradise of the people in Korea under the banner of the Juche idea, is a preeminent leader of the Korean people and the world revolutionary peoples.

It added that the feats of Kim Il Sung, who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of all generations to come and the human cause of independence, standing imposingly at the center of international politics in the emotion-charged 20th century, would go down through generations.

It paid noble respects to him who led the arduous great anti-Japanese war to victory to achieve the historic cause of Korea's liberation.

In an online article, Dermot Hudson, chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, stressed it was thanks to Kim Il Sung's noble idea of believing in the people as in Heaven and the indomitable spirit of the anti-Japanese guerrillas imbued with his revolutionary idea that the anti-Japanese armed struggle could emerge victorious, adorning the days of unheard-of harsh trials with miracles and feats.

The article noted that in the whole period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle, he delivered a heavy blow to the Japanese imperialists with his unique guerilla warfare tactics based on the Juche idea.

The Korean people are very proud of the significant day of national liberation, it said.
