Ceremony of Awarding Party and State Commendations to KPA Medics Held

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Party and state commendations were conferred on medics of the Korean People's Army (KPA) who made distinguished military merits in the top-level emergency anti-epidemic campaign for defusing the health crisis in the capital in response to the special order of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The army medics, dispatched to the emergency anti-epidemic front of the capital, had creditably discharged their honorable duty as the main force defending the security of the state and the lives of the people, and thus fully displayed the noble mental world of the detached corps of the Party Central Committee and the frontline medics in the great era of Kim Jong Un.

A ceremony of awarding Party and state commendations took place at the April 25 House of Culture on Thursday.

Present there were Jong Kyong Thaek, director of the KPA General Political Bureau, Ri Thae Sop, chief of the KPA General Staff, and other commanding officers and medics of the KPA.

Jong Kyong Thaek conveyed a decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.

All the participants firmly pledged to always bring only victory and glory on the militant course of the KPA, the revolutionary army of the Party remaining absolutely loyal to the idea and leadership of the great Party Central Committee.
