This contest was aimed to make a positive contribution to hastening the project for increasing the Juche-based iron-making capacity and to enhance the technical level of skilled workers.

Ace welders from ministries, national institutions and each provincial people's committee took part in the contest. Their rankings in the contest were decided by the period and quality of work.

On Aug. 19, the rankings were announced and trophies and diplomas as well as prizes were conferred on excellent skilled workers.
