DPRK Premier Inspects Work of Several Sectors
Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and premier of the Cabinet, made a field survey of the work of various sectors.

At the different farms in Suan and Singye counties, Sinpho City, Hongwon, Hamju and Chonnae counties of North Hwanghae, South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces, the premier learned in detail about their farming.

He called on agricultural officials and workers to try their best to manure and cultivate the crops in the latter growing period for raising grain yield in a more responsible manner despite the disastrous abnormal weather and to make full preparations for harvesting and threshing, mindful of the Party's intention of prioritizing this year's farming.

Inspecting the Ryongsong Machine Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, he stressed the need to concentrate efforts on manufacturing machines badly needed for the modernization of important units and send more fertilizers to the agricultural sector by establishing substantial ways for the normalization of production, including material supply and equipment repair, true to the economic strategies of the Party.

At the Sinpho Distant-Sea Fishery Complex, he reviewed the work to upgrade the complex, learned about the plan by year for building fishing vessels and expanding the fish processing capacity, and took relevant measures.

The on-site consultative meetings discussed the issue for the major industrial establishments to play a leading role in the efforts to thoroughly implement the decisions of the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee, the issue for officials to improving their guidance abilities, the issue of strengthening the organic connection and cooperation among sectors and units in the economic work and the issue of focusing on successfully finishing this year's farming, and took relevant steps.
