Lots of Sci-tech Problems Tackled in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The February 17 Shock Brigades of Scientists and Technicians in different parts of the DPRK have made a big stride in developing urgent technology for raising the independence of the national economy and improving the people's living standard during the first half of the year.

Those who were dispatched to the 216 Division solved such urgent scientific and technological problems as energy-saving building technology and introduction of various additives to make a great contribution to upgrading industrial establishments in Samjiyon City.

Those at the Ministry of Public Health rounded off tens of technical tasks.

Officials dispatched to the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Railways carried out the first half-yearly tasks in good time.
