The seminar was aimed to develop the overall educational work at a high speed and in a balanced and unified way by sharing and transferring successes and experience gained in education and scientific research.

It was attended by officials, teachers and researchers from over 210 units, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Kim Chol Ju University of Education, Phyongbuk University of Technology, Sukchon University of Agriculture, Pyongyang University of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts, Korea University of Physical Education and Pyongyang Secondary School No. 1.

The seminar, divided into five panels like the ones of theory of education and education technology, heard more than 210 papers conducive to pioneering new fields of education science and renovating education system, management of teaching and educational contents and methods in keeping with the global trend of educational development and pedagogical requirements.
