President Kim Il Sung kindled the flames of insulating material revolution at the historic 6th Plenary Meeting of the 6th Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee in August Juche 71 (1982), and had guided the factory to successfully discharge its mission and duty as an insulating material producer.

In February 1997, Chairman Kim Jong Il put the factory forward as a model of self-reliance as it updated its production processes and resolved the problem of raw and other materials by its own efforts and technology to put the insulating material industry on a Juche basis.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un showed his great trust in the workers of the factory so that they could take the lead in socialist construction. And he highly praised it as a model factory solving any problems arising in the production by its own technology-developing force while prioritizing science and technology.

Over the past ten years, the factory has over-fulfilled its yearly plans. In 2021 when the 8th WPK Congress was held, it produced over 2.3 times more various insulating materials and paints than planned, a record high.

In those days the factory had the honors to receive a congratulatory letter from the Party Central Committee and won the titles of Thrice Honored Three-Revolution Red Flag Factory, Twice Honored Lathe No. 26 Model Machine Prize Factory and Model Law-observance Unit.
