During his guidance over the military training at Oun-dong camp, Chairman Kim Jong Il recited the poem "I Will Carry on the March Started from Mt. Paektu" on Ryonggun Peak on August 29, Juche 51 (1962) with his high aim to carry forward to completion the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung. Touring the peak, the visitors hardened their iron will to remain true to his lifelong intention.

According to data available, people from more than 8,300 organizations have climbed the peak in the new century of Juche.

This year marking the 60th anniversary of the Chairman's poem recital during his military camping, 50-odd organizations including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang Teachers Training College, Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies and senior middle schools in Central, Songyo and Sunan districts have visited the historic site.

The visitors study the Chairman's famous works related with the military affair published in the period of his military camping.
