The festival, opened on the theme of "Scientific and IT-based Machine Design", is aimed to show and share the sci-tech successes achieved in the course of research and creation campaigns for implementing the decisions of the 8th Party Congress and plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee and help the machine design field take the lead in turning the country's machine-building industry into a development-and-creation-oriented one.

Taking part in it are designers, teachers, researchers, technicians, three-revolution team members from more than 60 units, including designing institutes and educational and scientific research institutions.

Presented to the festival held in the form of virtual exhibition are at least 500 machine designs, pieces of design information and shape designs conducive to stepping up the modernizing of machine factories and putting the major economic sectors on an IT and scientific basis.

During the festival there will be an exhibition of machine designs, a technological presentation, etc., all of which are aimed at raising the scientific level of designing.

The festival will last until Sept. 7.
